The Des Lauriers House is composed of three gabled forms, each serving a unique purpose. The main residence and a garage with guest quarters feature exteriors of brick and stone, lending the property a sense of permanence and grounding it in the landscape. The third structure, a cedar-clad barn, complements the ensemble with its warm, natural texture. Together, these volumes evoke timelessness, blending seamlessly with the rural surroundings.

A fully glazed corridor links the main house to the garage, offering a striking juxtaposition of transparency and solidity. This glass passage serves as the main entrance, framing captivating views of the plains beyond.
