Innovative Design Collaboration Unveiled at Milan Design Week
The design studio LLEV and Czech brand Lasvit have joined forces to create a mushroom-inspired lighting collection named Symbioosa. Debuting at the Milan Design Week, the Symbioosa collection will be showcased at Euroluce during Salone del Mobile.Â
Mushroom-Inspired Lampshade
The Symbioosa floor and table lamps feature a unique domed lampshade reminiscent of mushroom caps. This distinctive design is achieved by blowing glass into forms made of mycelium, resulting in an organically textured and irregular shape that stands out in any interior setting. 
Organic Texture and Design
The organically textured lampshade of the Symbioosa collection is a result of the innovative technique of blowing glass into a mycelium mold. This approach gives each lampshade a unique, natural appearance, making it a striking addition to any space.
Continuing a Legacy of Innovation
Building on their previous collaboration, Symboll, which utilized the same technique, LLEV and Lasvit have further innovated with Symbioosa. This new collection features a bulb with a changeable light temperature that adjusts throughout the day, supporting natural human rhythms and enhancing the user experience.
Adjustable Light Temperature
Users can easily dim the light or change the color temperature, ranging from a spectrum of white to yellow light. This feature allows the Symbioosa lamps to provide the perfect lighting for any time of day, promoting well-being and comfort.
Connecting with Nature
The Symbioosa lighting collection aims to help users connect with nature and exist in harmony with their environment. “We didn’t intend to replicate the round shape of a mushroom cap but rather opted for an asymmetrical oval shape which changes based on where you look at it from,” said LLEV founders Eva and Marcel Mochal. “In this case, imperfection is actually a form of perfection.”
